PROFESSIONAL

From March 15, 2009 through April 15th, 2022, have been engaged as residential loan officer with Cherry Creek Mortgage Company. Branch Manager of DTC Branch from 9/1/12 to 8/17/21. Retired from Cherry Creek Mortgage on April 15, 2022.


From August 2000, through March 15, 2009, had been functioning as a residential loan officer with Aspen Funding Corporation. Duties include typical loan officer sales and production responsibilities augmented by “operations” responsibilities, including compliance, quality control, staff supervision and training.


Admitted to New York State Bar in January, 1979. Engaged in general practice of law from admission through January 2000, with special emphasis on real estate transactions, including residential, commercial and development. Represented lenders such as Fleet Mortgage Corp., Homestead Funding, Norwest Mortgage, Dime Savings Bank, Regional Development Corp. and others. Past member of New York State Bar Association.

  • Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator since inception of licensing in State of Colorado. 
  • Initial license issued 3/21/2007. MLO #010001467; NMLS #266373.
  • Independent real estate broker licensed by State of Colorado on 1/1/2001. 
  • Independent Broker License # 1A40020965. Current registration status: Inactive.
  • Familiarity with broker licensing law and rules developed through licensure as a real estate broker and as a preferred instructor by numerous employing brokers in the Denver Metro area, who have engaged my services to educate their associate brokers over the past 10 years.
  • Fluency derived from Forms Committee work, participation in formal Commission hearings and stakeholder involvement in various ad hoc committees as set forth below.
  • Member of New York State Bar. Current registration status: Retired.
  • Law School: June 1978 graduate of Albany Law School of Union University. Juris Doctor Degree.
  • Undergraduate: April 1974 graduate of Dartmouth College. Awarded Bachelor of Arts Degree.

  • Past Member of Board of Directors for Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association
  • Professional trade association for the enhancement of business practices and educational standards for mortgage origination.
  • Also active in monitoring state and federal legislative and regulatory activity affecting the mortgage industry. Past Member of Colorado Mortgage Broker Education Task Force (2007)
  • Education providers stakeholders group appointed to design the first 40-hour pre-licensing curriculum for state licensing of loan originators.
  • Curriculum pre-dates the requirements of the Safe Act.Past Member of Colorado Mortgage Loan Originator Rule Making Task Force (2007)
  • When the State of Colorado passed MLO licensing laws, the statutes authorized the Division of Real Estate to develop post-statutory rules and regulations
  • This group of experienced mortgage professionals advised the Division on the drafting of industry-specific rules for adoption by the Division of Real EstatePast Member of Colorado Mortgage Loan Originator Education Task Force (2010)
  • The State licensing law provided for both pre-licensure education and annual continuing education requirements.

  • After the passage of the Safe Act, the investigative staff was unfamiliar with the requirements imposed on the industry it was charged with investigating
  • The Division hired Bruce Jordan to teach all Division employees involved with investigation the same 20 hours of pre-licensure education so that they would be familiar with the requirements imposed on MLOs. 
  • Designated “Train the Trainer” for Division of Real Estate: 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014
  • In order to qualify education providers to offer the Colorado continuing education course to MLO’s, all providers were required to take a State approved training course.
  • Appointed by the Division to train other proposed trainers and supported the Division in developing the annual curriculum.Director, Jordan Real Estate College, Ltd. a DPOS approved educational provider (5/8/2011 to date)
  • After serving as the lead mortgage instructor for Kaplan Professional Schools for five years, formed a private occupational school on May 18, 2011 and obtained approval by the Department of Private Occupational Schools in July 2011.
  • The school offered continuing education for MLO’s and real estate brokers through 2020.Member of DRE Forms Advisory Committee – 2013 - 2020
  • Under procedures developed by the Colorado Real Estate Commission, this standing committee is charged with the responsibility of the development, review and periodic amendment of all State approved forms utilized by real estate licensees for the conduct of their real estate practice.Past Member and Past Chairman of DRE Board of Mortgage Loan Originators, for two consecutive 4-year terms expiring in August of 2020.
  • Mortgage Loan Origination Board, under Colorado law, oversees the conduct of the mortgage origination practices throughout the State.
  • Responsibilities include licensing; rulemaking; hearing, determination and enforcement of complaints against licensees.Past Member of Mortgage Loan Originator Rule Review Task Force (2019)
